A Movement For Change
We believe that no girl should miss school because of her period. We are restoring dignity through education and empowerment.
Our Mission
To dismantle period poverty and restore dignity through menstrual health education, sustainable product distribution, and community-led empowerment.
Our Vision
A world where no girl misses school because of her period, and every young person can reach their full potential free from menstrual stigma.
Our Genesis
NeedBe Foundation was founded in November 2014 by Samuel Dzomeku. What began as a passionate Volta initiative has grown into a nationwide movement for menstrual dignity.
In 2018, we launched our first project in Adaklu Waya, reaching 166 girls. We realized then that the majority didn't know how to calculate their cycles or why they had menses.
Our Journey
From a small village initiative to a nationwide movement, every step has been driven by our commitment to girl-child dignity.
The Foundation
NeedBe Foundation was established on November 4, 2014 with a vision to transform menstrual health in Ghana.
First Workshop
Launched our first menstrual health project in Adaklu Waya, reaching 166 girls and discovering critical education gaps.
Greater Accra
Expanded operations to Ga East, reaching 800 girls and establishing our first regional partnerships.
Expansion
Growth in Central and Northern Ghana with strategic partners, scaling our impact across multiple regions.
Nationwide
Empowering thousands of girls across Ghana with dignity, education, and sustainable period solutions.

Beyond the Surface.
Pedagogical Excellence
Our curriculum isn't just about biology; it's about cultural reclamation. We utilize evidence-based tools to debunk generational myths and install a permanent culture of dignity.
Operational Integrity
Transparency is our bedrock. Every pad distributed and every classroom session conducted is documented and verified to ensure your support creates measurable, lasting change.

Core Values
Girl-Centered Approach
Every program we design prioritizes the dignity, health, and empowerment of girls. We measure our success directly by the positive transformation we witness in their daily lives and educational journeys.
Community-Led Impact
Sustainable change requires local ownership. We collaborate deeply with communities, schools, and local leaders, ensuring our initiatives are shaped by and for the people we serve.
Holistic Health
We go beyond mere product distribution. By combining extensive education, reusable sanitary solutions, and ongoing emotional support, we address the complete spectrum of menstrual health needs.
